Call for Entries:

Vision has many diverse meanings including visual perception, the physical mechanism of sight, spirituality, goals, and hallucination.  We are seeking works of art that address the concept of “vision” in all of its forms. Photography, digital art, mixed media, painting, and other two-dimensional art forms are preferred. 



Friday October 4, 5:00 pm.  Deadline for submission of electronic images.

Tuesday October 8.  Announcement by e-mail of selected images for the exhibit.

Friday November 1, 5:00 pm.  Deadline for delivery of framed images to gallery.

November 4 through March 7.  Vision exhibition dates.

Friday November 15, 7:00 - 10:00.  Opening reception.

Sunday March 9, 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.  Image pick up.


Entry Process:

All entries must be submitted as digital files in JPEG format.  Image size must be 1920 pixels on the longest side, 72 dpi, maximum file size 2 MB.  Files should be named using the following format:  YourLastName-ImageName.JPG; for example:  Pendleton-BrooklynBench.JPG.  Send NO MORE THAN THREE digital files to by the entry deadline.  Please include in your e-mail the final framed size, medium, date created, and price for each submission. Images need not be for sale to be eligible. If no price is indicated it will be marked NFS (not for sale).     There is no entry fee for submission of up to three images; entries containing more than three images will not be considered. Please provide an artist statement of NOT MORE THAN 550 CHARACTERS about how you work relates to the title of the show.


Image Selection Process:

Image selection will take place the first weekend of October by a juried process, with juror(s) to be announced.



Work selected for exhibition in the gallery must be at least 12 inches in one dimension, no more than 36 inches in any dimension (final framed size), and no more than 20 pounds in weight. Two-dimensional art work is preferred; a limited number of unbreakable, 3-dimensional works may be considered. Two dimensional works must be framed and or mounted and “ready to hang” by attached picture hanging wire.  “Saw-toothed” hangers and D-ring hangers will not be accepted.  Artwork requiring electricity is not eligible.  Framed artwork must use black wood, white wood, or natural wood frames.  No colored mats.


Final Acceptance:

Framing and mounting must be of professional quality.  Art work not conforming to the above specifications, not in ready to hang condition, or that deviates from the previously submitted digital image will not be displayed in the gallery.



The Vision exhibit will consist of approximately 50 images on display in the Twenty 20 Gallery from November 3, 2013 through March 7, 2014.  Gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, or by appointment.  Low resolution JPEG copies of the accepted images will also be displayed on



Images in the show can be reserved for purchase by patrons of the gallery at any time by leaving a deposit of not less than 50%, however, images cannot be removed from the gallery until the close of the show on March 7, 2014.  Twenty 20 Gallery will retain a 20% commission on all sales.  Monies collected for sales will be paid to the artist by check in March 2014.


Acceptance Agreement:

By signing below you are attesting that you are the sole and rightful owner of all rights to the images submitted to Twenty20Gallery.


You further agree that any images submitted to the exhibition may be used for marketing and promotional purposes directly related to the Vision show.  This includes flyers, brochures, catalogs, magazines, advertisements, internet and electronic media such as, or any other medium.


Due to the subjective nature of art evaluation, your signature indicates that you understand that Twenty 20 Gallery and Pendleton Eye Center DO NOT assume any liability for damage or theft of artwork hanging in the gallery, and it is the artist’s responsibility to obtain insurance coverage of their work if desired.  Gallery security includes 24-hour video surveillance, and several staff members are on the premises during normal hours of operation, and during receptions.


Please sign this form indicating your acceptance and understanding of these terms and conditions and deliver it to the Gallery on or before 5:00 pm on Friday November 1, 2013, the final deadline for delivery of ready to hang images.
